The winner’s of the 2007 Emily Carrigg Specchio Memorial Scholarship at Virginia Tech are:
Molly is a Virginia Tech student majoring in Marketing Management with a minor in Psychology and International Business. Molly studied abroad in Lugano, Switzerland in Spring 2007 and is a member of the Phi Sigma Pi honors co-ed fraternity. She has held many leadership positions in the fraternity including executive assistant, risk management chair, and serving on the scholarship committee. She also participated in the 7th annual pamplin college of business student leadership conference in fall 2005. Molly also has an excellent track record of community service including kindergarten tutoring, volunteering for the humane society, and helping beautify the Virginia Tech campus by assisting in the clean-up of the Duck pond.
Mary is a Virginia Tech student majoring in marketing management and member of the honors program. Mary studied abroad in Lugano, Switzerland in spring 2007. Shewas also the recipient of the Pamplin Freshman Merit Scholarship in 2004. She is a certified peer educator, and participated in the Pamplin Student Leadership conference in 2006. During her undergraduate tenure, she also performed research in consumer behavior. Mary is a member of the Marching Virginians band. She is also involved in the ADAPT (Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Team) alcohol awareness campaign.
Megan is a Virginia Tech student double majoring in Marketing management and Public communication. She studied abroad in Lugano, Switzerland in spring 2007. She has worked as an intern at the Virginia Tech Sports Marketing Department, Base Communications Company, and Office of Public Affairs. Megan has also worked on a service learning project for the YMCA.
